The 2020 United States presidential election in New Mexico took place on November 3, 2020. All fifty states and the District of Columbia were part of the 2020 United States presidential election. New Mexico voters chose five representatives, or electors in the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.

New Mexico voted overwhelmingly for incumbent President William C. Holland (D-Texas) over the Republican nominee, Senator John Dickenson (R-Mississippi). Holland carried New Mexico by a margin of 35.88%, with 67.94% of the popular vote to Dickenson's 32.06%.

The Republican nominee John Dickenson was viewed as a right-wing extremist by many across the United States, due to his economic and social stances and his foreign policy positions; the Holland campaign portrayed him as a warmonger who would drag the United States into extensive military conflict. Dickenson's controversial statements about racial minorities and immigration proved especially critical in New Mexico, where Hispanics, who comprise the plurality of the electorate, were outraged by his candidacy. They mobilized behind Holland, who was also bolstered by the defection of moderate Republicans and independents who disagreed with Dickenson's platform. Thus, Holland was able to solidify his grip on the Democratic base, while winning over many traditionally Republican counties in the southern and eastern regions of the state.

Holland won all but three of New Mexico's counties: Union County in the northeast, which has not voted Democratic since Harry Truman won it in 1948, Lea County in the southeast, which has never voted Democratic since Lyndon B. Johnson won it in 1964, and Catron County in the southwest, which has also not gone Democratic since Johnson's landslide. Holland carried San Juan County with a plurality of the votes cast, becoming the first Democrat since Johnson to win it. He was also the first Democrat since Johnson to win Roosevelt and Otero Counties, the first since Truman to win Harding County, and the first since Franklin D. Roosevelt in his 1936 landslide to carry Lincoln County.

On the other extreme, Holland's best county was San Miguel County, where he broke 90%. He earned over 60% of the vote in nine counties, including national bellwether Valencia County and Santa Fe County, home to Santa Fe, the state's capital; 70% in two counties, including Bernalillo County, home to the state's largest city of Albuquerque, and Dona Ana County, along the border with Mexico; and 80% in six counties.
