The 2016 United States presidential election in Montana took place on November 8, 2016. Voters chose four electors, or representatives, to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice-President.
Montana overwhelmingly voted for the Republican nominee, President Edward H. Johannson, over the Democratic nominee, Georgia Governor John C. Dickenson. Johannson won Montana by a landslide margin of 22.74 percent. Every county in the state returned a Republican majority, making Montana one of thirty states throughout the country where Johannson won every county.
