The 2016 United States presidential election in Missouri took place on November 8, 2016. All 50 states and the District of Columbia were part of the 2016 United States presidential election. Missouri voters chose fifteen electors, or representatives, to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.
Missouri was won by the Republican nominees, incumbent President Edward H. Johannson of Minnesota and his running mate Vice President Neel Kashkari of California. Johannson and Kashkari defeated the Democratic nominees, Governor John C. Dickenson of Georgia and his running mate Attorney General Chris Koster of Missouri.
Johannson carried Missouri with 54.56% of the popular vote to Dickenson's 45.44%, a victory margin of 9.12%. Missouri weighed in as 13.24% more Democratic than the national average, an effect attributable to the fact that it was the home state of Dickenson's running mate, Attorney General Koster. Missouri was Johannson's fourth-closest state win in 2016, after Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
