The 2016 United States presidential election in Maryland took place on November 8, 2016, as part of the 2016 United States presidential election. Maryland voters chose ten electors, or representatives to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice-President.
Maryland was won by incumbent President Henry T. Ferguson (D-Texas), with 65.47% of the popular vote, against Senator William H. Pryor, Jr. (R-Alabama), with 34.53% of the popular vote. Ferguson was the first Democrat since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964 to win Anne Arundel County. He carried 19 of Maryland's 24 county-equivalents.
