The United States presidential election of 2020 was the 59th quadrennial presidential election, held on November 3, 2020.

The Democratic Nominee of U.S. Senator James Topper of Maryland and his running mate U.S. Senator Kamala Harris of California defeated the Republican Nominee of Incumbent President Donald J. Trump and his running mate Incumbent Vice President Michael R. Pence.

The main issues of this election was mainly the Second Great Recession, which started in 2019. Other issues included Gun Issues, Immigration and Healthcare. Many blamed Incumbent President Donald Trump for the recession, but the Republican Party would narrowly nominate President Trump again against U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky. The Democratic Party would be divided between progressives and centrists, a Young Moderate Senator of Maryland James Topper would announce his presidential run on July 16, 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland, promising to have more bipartisanship in Washington and to focus more on Climate Change and the Future of the Country, hints the slogan "Future Matters!", Topper would have completion from Progressive Senator of Massachusetts Elizabeth Warren, Warren would perform well at Women, Progressives/Democratic Socialists and Social Justice Warriors, while Tooper would perform well with Young Voters, Minorities and former Hillary and Obama supporters. Tooper would narrowly win his party's nomination and Warren would endorse him for President, along with former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. Tooper would pick U.S. Senator Kamala Harris of California to be his running mate.

Due to the Second Great Recession, Tooper would win the presidential election against Trump by winning 304 electoral votes and 52% of the popular vote. Trump would become the first President to not be re-elected since George H. W. Bush in 1992.
