Prologue[]

Welcome to the lovely city of Kannametropolis, which is located in the United States of America in the midwest state of St. Van Jameson. Kannametropolis High School is the largest school in the country; it is in the very center of the city, and of all the buildings in Kannametropolis, it has the most greenery.

It was Monday, October 11, 2010; the sky was overcast with many gray clouds, and it was raining. I was eighteen years old, and I was a senior at Kannametropolis High School; I was staying after-school to catch up on some work I had missed.

After being inspired by one of my favorite video games called Initial Fantasy, whose genre was fantasy/science-fiction, I started writing my own fantasy/science-fiction novel on Saturday, February 4, 2006 called Cerulean Sisters; for months I had continually rewritten it until finally on Saturday, July 25, 2009, it was ready! On Sunday, July 26, 2009, my uncle, David Bryant Briggs, arrived in Kannametropolis; he had traveled all the way from his home in St. Lyrus, Lininckamp via airplane. He had come to see Sunrise Isabella Briggs-Holloway, his sister and my mother, James-Dewy Frasier Holloway, my father, and Crystal Sunrise Holloway, my sister. My mother told David about the book I had finished yesterday, and after he read it, he recommended I send it to a publisher because he thought it had very much potential.

Cerulean Sisters was rejected nine times by nine different publishers, bummer! However, ten was my lucky number because when I sent it to the Kannametropolis Fantasy-Novel Publishing Company, they accepted it and started printing it, so it could be sold worldwide. Cerulean Sisters became popular in the southern part of the state of Middlesex, where lies the city of Joltsburg: the site of the Joltsburg Memorial Library, which brings me back to why I am staying after-school at Kannametropolis High.

On Wednesday, September 29, 2010, I got a call from the Joltsburg Memorial Library; they requested that I come for a book-signing, which would last from Monday, October 4, 2010, to Friday, October 8, 2010. I drove to Joltsburg with my family despite that Joltsburg was one day away by car. We could've taken the airplane, but after seeing what happened on 9/11, we decided not to.
