Nomination[]

Reasons:

  1. I will be able to promote others more easily, thus relieving the need for staff to evaluate the nominations.
  2. I will be able to assign users to / from bot status, which may be useful when making systematical edits (I do that quite a bit, so this may be good to use for myself).
  3. I will be able to rename users (if that issue ever arises).

  1. Over 450 kb of personal contributions in the form of text
    1. Many personal stories
    2. Many co-authored works

  2. Over 9000 edits on Novelas wikia, as well as plenty of other contributions (uploads, moves, deletions, etc.)
  3. Helped with A LOT of systematic tasks to streamline the database
    1. Merged, deleted, or expanded many short pages, and split many long pages
    2. Worked to keep nearly all pages below the recommended 30kb page limit
    3. Lots of recategorization work
    4. Introduced various ideas, such as the current Forum:Index system, navbars, (Lorica) secondary-sidebar systems, Template:Infobox Rating, Featured Fiction, story lists, cover pages for stories, Active Stories list on sidebar, revamped main page, MediaWiki improvements, etc. (sometimes with staff help :) )
  4. Over 1500 edits on Future wikia

Positions:

  1. Administrator on Future wikia
  2. Bureaucrat on Future wikia
  3. Administrator on Novelas wikia

Miscellaneous:

  1. Over the 4+ months that I have been here, content pages have grown by ~150%, significant site contributors have grown by ~200%, and site traffic has grown by ~200%.

Questions[]

Would you be as initiative as you are now with choices?User:Serprex 02:28, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't understand--What initiative and what choices? YZHSig   20:29, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

You know, acting before posting on the talk page and waiting for an REUser:Serprex 22:18, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Possibly. It would depend on my judgment on the matter, as to whether or not it merited much consideration, the existence of any precedents, and expected controversy. Much of my work here has been rather successful, however. Sometimes, taking the initiative can be beneficial, especially in a small community when it takes a while to get adequate responses and when changes can be made and reverted readily. I also act quickly on pages that I've made (and there are many of those), and for systematic edits. In plenty of matters, I have held discussions on the issues, as seen by over one thousand talk page edits. YZHSig   22:55, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Discussion[]

Actually, bureaucrats can delete pages, but so can administrators, and bureaucrats can't delete anything in ways that administrators cannot (only stewards can do that). Administrators can view, perform, and undo deletions just as bureaucrats can. YZHSig   15:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
