The song was written by Lost Land frontman Nick Raynier and is intended to be a critique of the conformist Southern California middle-class suburban lifestyle.
Bullshit or Horseshit is always performed at Lost Land concerts and is a fan favorite. The song provides an opportunity for Lost Land drummer Cam Winklehoff to perform an extended drum solo, which has become Cam's trademark. The song has been covered by numerous garage bands in the years since its release.
